In parts of China, when a baby is born, family and friends of the child donate fabric pieces to the child's mother. She then makes a quilt for the baby from the fabric. It is said that the luck, energy and good wishes from all of the families and friends who contributed, surround the child when she is wrapped in the quilt. The quilt is then passed down from generation to generation. We are honoring this tradition from our future daughter’s homeland.

The squares you see to the right are samples of the fabric that will makes up Chloe's quilt. Each scan is approximately a 7 inch by 7 inch sample of the fabric. It takes a while to scan, scale, and encode each sample, so don't be surprised if your fabric square isn't shown yet. We will get to it! We are basically working backwards from the most recently received samples to the oldest ones. If you click on one of the squares you will see a close-up of the fabric.
